Comprehensive Academic Program

Conroe ISD SSO achieved another notable accomplishment in 2022: an unprecedented number of high school students were named Texas Music Educators Association All-State musicians for both band and choir, earning recognition by Texas Music Educators Association as All-State musicians for band and choir. Furthermore, Conroe was honored as a 2015 Honor Roll District and boasts one of Texas’ highest academic success rankings.

Athletic Programs
CISD Athletic programs aim to foster student athletes in every dimension – physical, social and as representatives for their school. Through practice, training and competition, student athletes learn good sportsmanship, personal integrity, team loyalty, strong work ethics and an excellent work ethic.
Hays CISD high school students may access all athletic events with free entry using their student ID cards; elementary school children accompanied by an adult will require to purchase tickets or passes in advance.

Fine Arts Program
Conroe ISD takes great pride in offering its students challenging academic programs, state-of-the-art Career and Technical Education curriculum and a vibrant fine arts program. Residents living in Venetian Pines area of Montgomery County can take advantage of competitive schools as well as extra-curricular offerings like Destination Imagination, music lessons and culinary programs – among many others!
District schools also feature a mariachi program that has been under development for one year, through fundraising efforts, budget funds and grants. Now available to perform at public venues as well as accompany orchestra concerts, this mariachi group offers its services with incredible skill.
Davis provides students in CISD art courses with an exceptional, goal-centered music education that emphasizes lifelong learning through artistic expression. Each spring, CISD hosts its Annual District Art Show which showcases three-dimensional works submitted from students throughout the school district – many of Davis’ former pupils now proudly display these framed pieces from Davis in their homes!
Technology
Conroe ISD is one of the state’s most technologically advanced school districts. Spanning 348 square miles, its 348-square mile district includes Shenandoah, Oak Ridge North, Grangerland, Conroe and an Academy magnet school which serves students from Shenandoah Oak Ridge Woodlands attendance zones; students applying in fall of 8th grade for admission are selected by faculty selection panel using criteria including grades, teacher recommendations and an interview process.
