Rapper King Von Died Friday (November 6) in an Atlanta Shootout

King von, an up-and-coming Chicago drill scene rapper whose fluid storytelling caught Lil Durk’s ear, signed onto Only the Family label of Lil Durk and released viral single Crazy Story before being shot to death Friday morning (November 6) during an Atlanta shootout following an altercation outside Monaco Hookah Lounge.

His early life

King von autopsy was an emerging star within the rap industry who mesmerized audiences with his vivid depictions of inner city life. His breakout hit single in 2018 called “Crazy Story” caused massive interest; thanks to this success, Lil Durk signed King Von with OTF (Only the Family).

He was famous for his fearless personality and ability to tell captivating stories through hip hop music. A natural talent, with a profound knowledge of culture and an unfaltering desire to express himself.

He was deeply attached to Chicago and often returned home with cash-filled envelopes for distribution among his close circle of friends. He understood the value of giving back to the community, yet it was tragic when his life ended too early at just 26. He left behind an accomplished career as an artist and made an indelible mark upon audiences across the globe – such was his talent and dedication that would surely deserve longer lives than this short one.

His music

Dayvon Daquan Bennett emerged from Chicago’s O Block neighborhood to use music as an escape from violence. Lil Durk quickly signed Von to Only the Family collective and released viral hit single “Crazy Story”, featuring its gripping narrative of a robbery-turned-shootout situation that earned ten million YouTube views and propelled King Von into one of Chicago’s most promising rappers.

Von moved to Atlanta in 2019 in order to further his career and avoid the violence in his hometown of Milwaukee. On September 15, he released his debut mixtape Grandson Vol. 1, featuring Lil Durk and YNW Melly among many other high-profile artists. A few months later in March 2020, Levon James was made available.

On November 6, 2020, Von was tragically shot and killed during a fight outside an Atlanta nightclub. He had made waves within drill, hip hop and trap music circles for being an outstanding artist in each genre.

Lil Durk quickly took him under his wing and signed him to Only the Family label, where they collaborated on hits such as “Crazy Story” and Welcome to O-Block (a GOLD-certified debut album).

“King Von: Rap’s First Serial Killer,” has been taken down from YouTube after receiving criticism from King Von’s friends and fans, but has received praise by others who laud Trap Lore Ross’ investigative skills – using social media posts, lyrics from rap songs, etc to connect Von with multiple murders.

His legacy

King Von was an esteemed rapper devoted to his friends and family. His death came as a tremendous shock for those close to him; yet, he left an impressive musical legacy for those left behind in his wake.
